CURRENT PROJECT

Rwanda

74,000 Congolese refugees fled to Rwanda to escape armed conflict. Now living in refugee camps, they are stuck in proverbial limbo…

They are economically disadvantaged, marginalized, deprived of basic needs. Unable to return home.

Food shortages. Disrupted Education. Uncertain future. Few employment opportunities. This is the reality for these people.

With no support network, cultural barriers, and a lack of stability, the fate of many Seventh-day Adventist refugees remains grim. But if they were to be trained as digital missionaries, they could build a secure future for themselves and their families.

By becoming a skilled online ministry worker, these refugees can help take the Gospel to the unreached online.

About the Project

We focus on providing a long-term solution to the ongoing refugee crisis. We train Adventists in developing countries in digital marketing, so they can find jobs as skilled online workers. With their training, they will also be able to find jobs that allow them to observe the Sabbath without fear of losing their job.

As a result, these individuals will be able to leave the camps and create a better future.

Refugees are able to…

Find employment

With their digital skills, refugees will have more work opportunities online. With more organizations making room for virtual employees and the rapid technological advancement, employment opportunities will be available worldwide.

Leave the refugee camps

Having a stable job is one requirement to leave the camp. With fruitful employment, these refugees can now make financial decisions and have access to good living conditions and daily meals. They can also use their story to empower other refugees to become self-sustaining as well.

Become self-sufficient

Currently, refugees rely on aid agencies for relief. As a result of this project, trainees will be empowered and able to make a living for themselves and their families for now and the future.

Develop a sense of dignity

When they become online workers, their efforts will results in creating opportunities for millions of people to hear the Gospel. More digitally qualified workers will make it possible for churches and conferences around the world to hire people who can strengthen their online presence and increase their traffic.
